Journal Tribune editorial lauds 海角社区's energy strategy

The Journal Tribune (Biddeford) on Oct. 9, 2010 praised 海角社区's new energy initiatives and the $238,000 in funding 海角社区 received for improved energy management systems, a solar hot water system, and highly efficient LED lighting in parking lots. 

The university has also upgraded its recycling operation and is making great progress in providing alternative transportation options for students.  The grant comes via Efficiency Maine, which is working effectively on the state鈥檚 behalf, the editorial said. The agency is pursuing ambitious goals for weatherization, reducing energy consumption and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
